5. Environment

To obtain and to demonstrate a sound Environmental performance has been a constant concern for our company, thus we were the first Corrugated Box vendors in Chile that implemented non heavy metal inks usage since 1992. On other hand, since 1996 a modern waste water treatment plant is in operation, which was upgraded in 2004 with a new treatment phase. However, we have felt forced to assure that our performance continues to satisfy both the present laws requirements and our Environmental Policy; to do this, we have decided to aim the work done through a structured management system that allows us to back up the environmental protection and also balance the needs and necessities of our company, assuring that the product that we are delivering has been produced with environmental and community friendly techniques.

 

 
 

Since August 2002 we have started the process to implement ISO 14.001 norm, archiving a satisfactory result in July 2004 implementing the Environmental Management Norm ISO 14.001/1996
